Commissions
I am available for commissioned work in metal fabrication, screen printing, graphic design, video production, and various craft media. If you have job you'd like to commission me for, go to my contact page and leave me a message!
Custom Sculpture
A client asked me for a small metal sculpture of a dragon. I came up with a design that is halfway between the European conception of a dragon as a winged fire-breathing creature, and the Eastern serpentine dragon.
Cut steel figures sitting on top of hand-forged springs. Each one is holding a book with text engraved inside. I made ten of these for a client who wanted to display them in a library.
Screen Printing
A client wanted me to print my original illustration 'The Drive' on a t-shirt for them. I can do this with any of the illustrations you find on this website. Just go to my contact page and leave me a message!
Custom favor bags for a wedding with my original illustration 'Acadia National Park' screen printed on them.
T-shirts I made for Sawyer's Market in Southwest Harbor, Maine. I created the images and text based on the company's pre-existing logo.
A client wanted my original illustration ‘Chikadees’ printed on a t-shirt. I made several variations for different kids sizes.
Design
A potential landscape design for a courtyard showing different kinds of plantings, trees, rocks, benches, etc.
Initial concept sketch for an earth covered shelter being built at Sweet Pea’s Farm in Bar Harbor. This shelter will grow plants on its surface, provide habitat for animals, and include a comfortable gathering space for people to congregate.
Fabrication
I used rusted steel with a sealant over top to make these custom sign holders for Dandelion Catering in Portland Maine. Four small magnets hold the paper on to the metal backing. I used a sunburst motif and a hand forged stand on the back to create the rustic industrial look the clients wanted.
A series of stainless steel signs commissioned by Artemis Gallery in Northeast Harbor. Made using a plasma cutter, and backed with laminated and painted wood. They all have little people on them pointing you towards the gallery in case you get lost
Specialty baking tools I created for Old Dog Baking Co. in Bar Harbor, Maine. Pictured here is a wood spatula for stoking the oven fire, an ash scoop, a rag hook for cleaning the interior of the oven. I also created a custom baking door with a flap on the front for steaming the baking chamber.
Metal benches I fabricated for Sweet Pea's Cafe. The owner wanted an industrial look to go with the rustic farm setting. They're made out of steel pipe and plumbing fixtures, and are custom designed to sit around this fire pit.
Metal and wood banquets I made for the inside of Sweet Pea's Cafe. Same plumbing fixtures and pipes I used for the outside benches for continuity.
Steel frame of an angel that I fabricated for fellow sculptor Roger Brignall. He’s going to fill it in with concrete and turn it into a yard sculpture.
One of my gallerists asked me to repair this old aluminum sculpture made by Jeff Freeman. It had been outdoors for several years and had started falling apart. It was inspiring to see his artistic process by reverse engineering this sculpture.
A custom glass pipe with rainbow dots that I made for a client while they sat with me at the glass blowing bench.
Graphic Design
An advertisement for the Design Group Collaborative, an architecture firm based in Ellsworth, Maine. This ad was used for promotion in local magazines.
I designed these labels for Hannon’s Farm Stand in Limington, Maine. I made several variations that could be printed as stickers, or as tags for various products.
A poster and postcard I created for a multidisciplinary summer field studies course hosted by ArtWaves and MDI Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, and by The Ocean Foundation in Washington D.C.
Illustration
Holiday card I created for the architecture firm Design Group Collaborative. I used a photograph the clients provided me of an ‘architectural’ chicken coup they found in Downeast Maine.
A client commissioned me to illustrate Gastly, Gengar, and Haunter from the little know “Pokemon” franchise
This is a painting commission I did for a friend. He wanted a painting of his mother’s childhood home before it got torn down. I love all the transitional phases that paintings like this go through.
Digital illustration of an island near Bar Harbor, Maine. I took a photograph provided by the client and reinterpreted it digitally to give it a more vibrant feel.
This is a series of location specific postcards I was commissioned to do by Oscillation Transia Film Festival for their 2017 summer tour.
